There is glacier skiing to over 3200m and the snow quality is often exceptional. Located at the southern end of the ski region, the Cime Caron top station offers stunning views across the region and accesses some of the best skiing in Val Thorens with great off-piste and ski routes.

Ski pistes cut through the resort offering ski-in / ski-out accommodation access whilst the ski area directly in front of Val Thorens is gentle and connects with the main ski lifts. This area also hosts the piste down to the neighbouring resort of Les Menuires and slightly further into the pretty village of St Martin de Belleville.

Heading north out of Val Thorens, it is easy to reach the fantastic Méribel ski area, the middle valley in the 3 Vallées ski region. At the southern end of the Méribel valley there is some of the best off-piste skiing in the valley, with some great descents down from Mont Vallon. From this southern end of the valley it is possible to ski right back through Méribel Centre and beyond.

Heading east from Méribel Centre it is possible to ski into the third valley above Courchevel via the fantastic Saluire crossing. The Saluire couloirs are some of the toughest in the area, whilst there are some superb beginner and intermediate pistes to reach to Courchevel or Courchevel Moriond.
