SARDINIA ISLAND

The second largest island in the Mediterranean Sea and boasting around 2000km of stunning coastline, Sardinia hosts numerous coastal towns and resorts. Inland the island rises to over 1800m and has 4 small ski resorts on its towering peaks. The south of the island is dominated by the capital, Cagliari, but in its locality are resorts such as Villasimius to the east and Pula to the south. Both destinations offer golden sand, turquoise waters and interesting towns, all just a short transfer from the airport.

At the opposite end of Sardinia lies the coastal city of Olbia with its historic sites, airport and port. Olbia serves the north eastern part of Sardinia with its endless, glorious coves and inlets. From Cagliari airport it is around 3 and a half hours to reach the northernmost areas of Sardinia and for this reason, many summer corporate events tend to locate in the south of the island. For a stark contrast to the emerald waters of the coast, the mountainous interior can be reached from Cagliari in around 90 minutes, offering great activities, incredible scenery and wonderful villages.

There are wetlands on each side of the city and Cagliari is famed for its colonies of flamingos.

Moving back from the waterfront of Cagliari, the city rises, offering a series of vantage points and terraces that host, shops, bars and restaurants. The views over the city rooftops and onto the Mediterranean Sea are fantastic. Visitors to Cagliari are sure to venture to the Bastione di Saint Remy, the most popular part of the city and offering superb views over the city, the Mediterranean Sea and the nearby Cathedral.
