AREA 47 is located at the head of the Ötztal Valley. A short drive away is the town of Ötz, the administrative capital of the valley. Within the grounds of the AREA 47 park, the most popular area is the Water Area (Waterpark), which has waterslides, a blobbing bag, a 'cannonball' where clients get fired off a seat by a huge volume of water and the slip’n’slide ramps that launch clients through the air and into the lake. There are diving platforms (up to 10 meters), as well as swimming & relaxing zones.
A separate lake offers wakeboarding and water skiing, with a cable system used to drag riders around the lake's perimeter, interacting with ramps and obstacles, or simply finding their footing on the water.
