AREA 47 is located at the head of the Ötztal Valley. A short drive away is the town of Ötz, the administrative capital of the valley. Further south along the valley lies Langenfeld, home to the superb Aquadome thermal spa, and beyond that is Sölden, featuring action sports, luxury hotels, glaciers, excellent event venues, and vibrant nightlife.
Heading out of the Öztal Valley, Innsbruck lies around 25 minutes to the east. The city is renowned as the capital of the Alps and offers a diverse range of culture, activities, and entertainment.
Within the grounds of the AREA 47 park, the most popular area is the Water Area (Waterpark), which has waterslides, a blobbing bag, a 'cannonball' where clients get fired off a seat by a huge volume of water and the slip’n’slide ramps that launch clients through the air and into the lake. There are diving platforms (up to 10 meters), as well as swimming & relaxing zones.
A separate lake offers wakeboarding and water skiing, with a cable system used to drag riders around the lake's perimeter, interacting with ramps and obstacles, or simply finding their footing on the water.
