Arrive fresh for après ski with a zip line landing in the centre of Val Thorens |

The first zip line in Val Thorens linking the Maurienne and Tarentaise valleys set the record for the highest zip line in Europe, taking guests across a stunning airspace at over 100 km/h. The sole downside was that it was only accessible for skiers. This season they have added a second line that takes clients into the resort, ensuring non-skiers also have something to brag about at après ski time.

At the end of the day, when weary skiers (or merry from the terrace of La Folie Douce) and boarders enter Val Thorens city limits, those in the know touch down in the heart of resort with style, high above the crowded slopes. Prior to the 2018/19 season, the sole zip line was located in the distant 4th valley of Les 3 Vallées ski region. Now skiers and non-skiers can enjoy the thrill of speeding through the alpine area, enjoying the remarkable views of the highest ski resort in the Alps.

Departing from the top of La Moutière chair lift and landing in the heart of Val Thorens, Place Caron, the zip line guarantees a spectacular touch down. The average speed of the zip line is 75 km/h and is available to skiers and non-skiers, who fly in tandem on parallel lines which run 65m above the slopes, for 1.8km.

One of the great corporate ski event activities in the region, these zip lines are inclusive, allowing non-skiers and skiers to sample the thrills of skimming across the Val Thorens ski area. Dramatic, thrilling and with a spectacular landing in the centre of the resort, the Val Thorens zip lines are not to be missed. And what better way to avoid the crowded, resort-bound slopes.
