AFTERNOON ARRIVALS CAN GET STRAIGHT INTO THE ACTION WITH NIGHT SKIING

Arriving in a resort and watching the skiers and snowboarders taking their last runs of the day can be a painful experience. Night skiing can fix that torment by offering corporate ski clients some immediate action on the snow.

Drop bags, head to the ski rental and sit on a chairlift, skimming the slopes in the dark - night skiing can be a seamless introduction to the ski event. Also, first night après ski wouldn’t truly be après if it didn’t follow skiing.

NIGHT SKIING PRACTICALITIES

Best suited to groups with an afternoon arrival, night skiing is an ideal activity which can be enjoyed following a trip to the ski rental. Just an hour or 2 are often all that is required for the eager group members to get their immediate ski or snowboard fix. The thrill of departing a city just hours earlier and standing on snow, in the cold and dark of night is a wonderful feeling and a great contrast to the client’s embarkation point.

Night skiing is often limited to certain days of the week, depending on the resort and often takes place during the peak months of the season. Although limited in scope, night skiing sees less people on the slopes and often takes place on freshly groomed pistes. Powder skiing under the lights is something special when it happens!

NIGHT SKIING LOCATIONS

In the Kirchberg sector of the Kitzbühel ski area, the mountainside is illuminated for night skiing with a mountain hut and bars at the base station. Kitzbühel shimmers just down the valley.

KITZBÜHEL

On the slopes above Méribel, the floodlights illuminate the slopes and skiers and boarders mix with the village dwellers as they wander the resorts.
