It offers exclusive air space above the busy world, gazing over a remarkable snow and granite terrain, and being powered by invisible thermals and winds. Hot air ballooning is graceful and timeless, with views gradually developing and evolving as the balloon drifts across the landscape. Hot air ballooning can take place year-round, but winter offers such contrasts and rugged drama that it has to be the best season to fly. Depending on the balloon and basket size, multiple passengers can be carried, making it a fantastic group activity for a corporate ski event.
Champagne and nibbles are often part of the hot air ballooning experience. Adverse weather can cause flight cancellations whilst the landing sites are subject to amendments as the flight develops.
Launches are often in the morning due to access to airspace and airfields, although this allows some truly memorable scenery lit by the morning sun.
