BATH TOWN

An absolute gem of a town, Bath is located in the rolling hills of the south west and boasts a stunning Roman and Georgian centre, renowned for its historic Roman Spa and riverside location. The town centre is bustling with locals and visitors, with a great range of shops, bars and restaurants on offer. The town is fringed by hills, offering great vantage points over Bath, whilst the riverside walkways and bridges are a wonderful way to traverse the town.

In the town centre there is a superb, modern spa complex with rooftop, outdoor pool offering the chance to stretch out in thermal waters and gaze over the fantastic Bath skyline. As well as the modern spa there is a private, intimate spa that can be rented, whilst the original Roman Baths are remarkable and well worth a visit. Boats tours ply the waters around Bath and for rugby lovers there is the famous Bath RFC stadium just over the iconic Pulteney Bridge.

Bath is a small, compact town, with its centre dominated by the Roman Spa which visitors flock to see. For leisurely jaunts on the River Avon there are boat trips, rentals and rowing boats. Around Bath there are a number of golf options, some close to the town, whilst just outside Bath there is the chance to sample rural life with group, clay pigeon shooting. Mountain bike tours can leave from various parts of Bath and explore the wonderful trails around the town, sampling the history and nature of the area.    

With the River Avon dissecting the town, water sports are numerous, with stand up paddling one of the best and most contemporary options in the area. BATH DINING

Bath’s Roman legacy is apparent today with its numerous Italian restaurants that line many of the town centre streets. As well as Pizza and Pasta emporiums, Bath has a number of very British eateries, some contemporary and some very traditional, with ornate rooms and formal service. The range of restaurants in Bath is extensive both in the intimate streets of the town centre and the riverside locations throughout the town.
