HURLED ALONG BY WIND, THESE TINY VEHICLES TEAR ACROSS THE OCEAN FRINGES ON 3 (OR SOMETIMES 2) WHEELS

Like windsurfing, only easy to pick up, faster and drier, blokarting is a fantastic activity where wind gusts translate to rapid accelerations as the blokart hurtles across flat sand.

100% clean motion, land sailing should appeal to a wide range of corporate event groups given its speed, mechanics and the assured spills on the sand at the water’s edge.

Blokarting / land sailing on an incentive event

A modern version of land sailing, these nimble craft suspend the driver in a fabric seat just above the sand. The 3-wheeled blokart makes a stable unit, which can also power along on 2 wheels when the winds are cross-winds. Steering with one hand and trimming with the other, these elegantly simple machines can thunder across the flat, spacious sands at low tide. Strapped in, it is not uncommon for ‘turtle moments’ when colleagues have to right the blokart, as the driver is suspended in the air.

Courses can be set, and races can be undertaken around cones or markers on the beach. Low tide offers far more terrain, and on windy days, when the bathers are few and far between, the courses can stretch huge distances along the beach and out to the sea’s shoreline. The first corner is often carnage as the accelerating and precariously balanced blokarts all head for the narrow line around the corner. Blokarting is a unique activity that delivers serious fun and connects the clients with the natural world through the relentless power of the wind.

Alternative to blokarting - sailing

Like blokarting or land sailing, traditional sailing takes the wind to power the craft forward. It is a thrilling sport with many trappings on the boat and during the awards ceremony.
