Well cross-checking of 3 reputable weather forecasts has brought conclusive proof that this incredible dry period is about to serve up some serious snow to the Alps with the west of Austria set to get heavy snow from Saturday onwards. A few weeks late and not before time winter is arriving although there has been some epic powder skiing already this autumn on the glaciers of Austria.
