Opel Air + Style
Air and Style is now one of the biggest Freestyle snowboard events in Europe. On February 6th 2016 some of the world's best snowboarders will gather in Innsbruck at Olympia World to bring you the biggest and best festival yet.
With a specially designed giant kicker, 24 of the worlds top snowboarders along with 20 of the world best skateboarders, a serious musical line up totalling 8 gigs with some huge artists such as London music collective Rudimental, the German rapper Sido, the Hip Hop band Blumentopf, KIZ and the alternative rock band Sunset Sons, this is one event not to be missed.
Ski Marathon Saalfelden
Taking place on the 7th February 2016 will be the 9th annual cross-country skiing marathon at Saalfelden. Filled with exciting competitions for professional skiers and hobbyists alike. They even have a mini ski marathon for children on the 6th if you're looking to tire them out for a day!
An Evening of Horse Racing on Snow
Head to the Frangl Racing Track From 7.30pm on the 5th February for an evening of fast paced action. Watch races take place between seven harness races, one trotting race and one noric race to determine the ultimate champion. With admission only costing €5 this is well worth facing the cold night air! For those feeling the cold, don't worry there will be food and drinks in the heated marquee directly beside the racing track.
Winter Art Festival in Gastein
Art on Snow will celebrate its 5th year bringing you the largest arts festival in the Alps. From the 30th January to 5thFebruary 2016 the festival will be taking place throughout Gasteinertal, expect to see artists transforming blocks of ice into incredible works of art in a breathtaking mountain setting. This year many of the snow and ice sculptures will aim to incorporate and reflect Gastein mythology into their work.
