Kicking it at the Kandahar - St Anton gears up for an FIS party weekend

St Anton, the Arlberg ski holiday resort famed for its vertical off-piste, massive snow accumulations and unbeatable party spirit is set to welcome FIS ski racing back to the Kappal peak above the resort.

St Anton is not a regular on the FIS circuit but has hosted past world ski championships and is a magnet for good skiers and snowboarders from all over the world to test their mettle on the steeps. More often St Anton hosts ski events such as the mass-start Der Weiße Rausch (the White Rush) and the Red Bull Hüttenrallye that has one of the greatest starts ever witnessed. But what the upcoming FIS race weekend offers is some serious racing and corporate hospitality as well as the famously good skiing and apres. The downhill and GS will be held on the 12th and 13th January whilst the training takes place on the preceding Thursday and Friday - there is sure to be a fantastic atmosphere in the lead up and during the race program.
