St Anton Am Arlberg group ski trip ideas

Corporate groups come back year after year to this iconic destination. With its legendary status, securing a hotel booking for groups (particularly for a short stay) can however be challenging.

But with some flexibility and timing trips outside of peak holiday weeks, it's possible to secure quality accommodation. From mid-range hotels through to luxury private chalets, St Anton offers a good mix of accommodation styles to suit varying budgets.

Whilst the linchpin of the destination is the skiing (and of course the night life) we've found that the town and the region hides some hidden gems for off the slope fun and activity. Everything from visiting the 'Schnapps capital' of Austria, to the requisite toboggan evening, a short stay can be crammed full of action so that the trip is written into the company's folklore.

Here is a sample itinerary for a 3-night St Anton trip:

Day 1:

- Arrival into Innsbruck Airport and 1-hour transfer to St Anton.

- After checking into accommodation, the group gets into the Alpine spirit with a convivial match of Bavarian curling on outdoor ice rink, fortified by mulled wine.

- Fondue dinner.

- Overnight.

Day 2:

- After breakfast it's straight onto the pistes for a day on the mountains. Ski lessons and guiding can be organised.

- Groups to meet for lunch at mountain restaurant (accessible for all levels of skier, snowboarder and non-skier).

- Afternoon on the mountain with groups converging on the legendary apres ski haunts of the Krazy Kangaruh and Mooserwirt.

- Dinner at leisure (many never make it as far as dinner on this night!)

- Overnight.

Day 3:

- Meet with instructors and guides for morning on piste.

- Lunch on mountain as a group.

- Afternoon skiing / boarding.

- Fun evening activity with floodlit tobogganing. After ascending the lift, a glass of mulled wine gets the spirits high before descending to mid-station where dinner is organised at a mountain hut. After dinner there is a final descent to bottom of mountain (and further partying if the group have energy).

- Overnight.

Day 4

- Breakfast and Return transfer to Innsbruck Airport for flight departure.

Non skiers are also catered for with a programme of a romantic winter snow show walks and a trip to the Schnapps Capital of Austria. With more than 50 distilleries in one village, some schnapps tasting and Austrian culture awaits.
