Over half a metre of fresh snow has fallen and the Eisjoch and Windachferner glaciers will open tomorrow on the Stubai Glacier whilst on the weekend the Daunferner glacier will additionally be open. The ski / snowboard season is set to run until mid / late June 2012 so plenty of time to ski 3200m+ snow, wide, wide slopes and get carried up by an impressively modern lift system. Plenty for corporate groups to do up there as well with a mixture of modern and rustics huts and the chance to have corporate ski trips out of the peak season and over flexible short breaks.
Stubai Glacier opening 21st September Jagged Horizons
With the significant snow over the last 2 days the Stubai Glacier is opening to skiers and snowboarders for the winter 2011/12 season.
