Wrapping up the winter in Val Thorens and leaving SO much snow!

Slope-side in Val Thorens for some late spring skiing on slopes that should never be allowed to close.

Dashing between resort meetings, we found ourselves in Val Thorens for some late season action on the slopes of Les 3 Vallées. With May just days away, it was remarkable how much snow remained and how great the conditions were. Word had got out and there were plenty of others flocking to the slopes of Val Thorens, but it was still some of the best spring skiing in many years.

Off the snow, one of the highlights was an evening terrace session at Fahrenheit Seven Val Thorens, with sunny skies, slope-side couches, mojitos and a DJ playing 90’s anthems. We spent hours there, slumped across the couch, gazing over the empty, vast snow fields of Val Thorens as the sun turned the sky orange – it really felt like the movement of the sun was bringing down the curtain on a winter that will go down in history. Viva Val Thorens and the 17/18 winter!
