In a 6.5-hectare expanse of river valley, 25 minutes to the west of Innsbruck is one of the great water adventure parks in Europe. Whether in the central lake (with its high diving boards, precipitous water slides and wakeboard learning area), dangling from the towering high ropes & bridge swing, thundering down the local rivers on a white-water raft, or leaping into vertical canyons, Area 47 has just about everything for the alpine thrill-seeker.
Over the years, Area 47 has expanded to include white water rafting, wakeboarding, canyoning, high-diving, water ramps, chutes and mass water ejections, bungy jumping, e-moto cross and blobbing. Many of the activities are located within the central water park, whilst bungy, rafting and canyoning are located amongst the local mountains.
The whole park has an exciting vibe with music drifting through the alpine air as people experience the wide range of water and air activities. There are chill-out zones, relaxing terraces and grassed areas offering the chance to marvel at the action. The range of activities offers something for (almost) everyone.
Day events provide an intense day of action in the great outdoors, whilst multi-day events would include overnights in the chalets that dot the park. Dining can be taken on the terraces overlooking the swimming lake, whilst the wake boarding lake has a fantastic rooftop terrace to gaze over the action on the water.
