Some projections are additionally showing snow for Wednesday across resorts in the region. All of which should bring the demise of the driest November in very, very many years. Coldish and certainly very sunny, the last month has been incredibly stable with rarely a cloud seen over the Alps. The resorts that have opened on schedule have done so thanks to some early autumn snow and to a far greater extent the activities of snow cannons that have been pumping out snow in huge quantities. With the forecast snow the pistes should be in pretty good shape considering the absolute drought across the whole of the Alps - it might not be time to be waxing up the powder boards just yet though, the off-piste will be some time before it is ready to be tackled in many areas.
