COURCHEVEL SKIING

Courchevel is mainly ski-in / ski-out with 5 ski lifts leaving the centre of the resort and 3 main ski piste arteries cutting through the resort, back to the centre on gentle scenic routes. In all directions, there is skiing but most leave Courchevel and head either south or east, accessing the superb Saulire or Loze areas. This is where the terrain gets steeper and access to the other Les 3 Vallées ski areas is possible. The best steep skiing in Courchevel can be found at Saulire, whilst the less adventurous can bypass this on a great, long blue – Creux. This is also the location to access Courchevel Moriond. The Courchevel ski area is varied, extensive and one of the very best in France.

Courchevel is the eastern part the massive Les 3 Vallées ski region – the biggest linked ski region in the Alps. Unlike many other linked ski regions, Les 3 Vallées is superbly connected offering a logical link between these 3 diverse valleys. Méribel in the centre has extensive off-piste to the south of the resort, whereas Val Thorens in the western extremity of Les 3 Vallées offers superb, snow-sure, ski-in / ski-out, high-altitude glacier skiing. The route from Courchevel Moriond to Val Thorens and back is easily possible in a day and is a fantastic experience. Les Menuires, St Martin de Belleville and La Tania ski areas make up the remaining parts of Les 3 Vallées skiing.

COURCHEVEL RESORT

Courchevel comes with a big reputation and is famed for its seriously high-end chalets and restaurants. Whilst the rich and famous no doubt spend big in Courchevel, the resort also offers great quality hotel and dining options across the board. Most accommodation benefits from ski-in / ski-out locations and the centre of the resort is located at the bottom of 3 ski pistes which dissect Courchevel. The centre of Courchevel has several lifts leaving the resort, restaurants, bars, shops and sunny terraces.

Courchevel has an airstrip for wealthy visitors as well as the departure point for scenic flights. Sky diving is possible over the resort, whilst there is snow-shoe walking, tobogganing, fine dining and après ski. Activities can be arranged in other Les 3 Vallées resorts such as ice driving and ice diving. Courchevel Moriond is the neighbouring resort to Courchevel and offers more affordable, slope-side accommodation and facilities. There are a number of excellent, contemporary hotels opening there.

COURCHEVEL APRÈS SKI

Courchevel après ski is more toffee vodka and champagne than beer swilling, ski boots on tables. The resort has some wonderful slope-side terraces serving fine food and drinks and the settings are spectacular. It is hard not to feel privileged lounging on sheep skin rugs and having table service, next to the piste in Courchevel. Courchevel Moriond has further après ski options with slope-side bars as well as options in the resort centre.

Méribel just over the ridge in the next valley offers great après ski with a number of après ski venues in the resort. La Folie Douce Méribel-Courchevel is located between the resorts (on the Méribel side), offering superb theatre on the outdoor stage, amazing sounds and an early warning system for skiers to head back to Courchevel. Heli-transfers are available to take clients back to Courchevel from La Folie Douce - après ski transfers Courchevel style!

COURCHEVEL MEETINGS & SEMINARS

Courchevel has a range of excellent 4 and 5 star hotels. There are 9 professional meeting venues in Courchevel whilst the Courchevel Congress Centre is located in the Jardin Alpin area of the resort and offers an auditorium for 380 people and a separate room for 100. An Olympic ice rink is another venue that can be used to host 1500 people. The Courchevel airstrip can be used to bring VIP clients in and out of the resort.

As well as being a statement location, offering superb action on the slopes, Courchevel has a range of captivating activities on and off the snow including sky diving, yurt events, shooting, scenic flights and snow shoe walking, whilst further in Les 3 Vallées there is ice driving, skidooing and ice diving on offer. The après ski is excellent, generally refined and as high-end as required. Dining is also outstanding in Courchevel with several Michelin starred restaurants and usually, very fine quality cuisine across the board.

COURCHEVEL - UNMISSABLE

Dining at the top table – Courchevel cuisine is something not to be missed. There are several Michelin-starred restaurants in Courchevel and both on the mountain and in resort, the dining experience can be exceptional. In resort, restaurant ‘Le 1947’ is 3 star Michelin rated.
