Vast, cloud-piercing skiing punctuated by wonderful mountain dining. We plan incredible corporate ski trips in the highest, biggest and most vibrant ski resorts in France.

The biggest ski areas, the highest peaks, pinnacle dining moments and a resurgent après ski scene with typical French theatre - corporate ski trips to France are amongst the very best. To the south of Geneva, resorts cling to the French Alps as far as the Alpes-Maritimes. Amongst them is a range of superb destinations for corporate ski breaks.

French ski incentives include fine dining, superb action on the snow, and lively entertainment off it. For meeting-focused corporate ski trips, seminar venues can be excellent, and a range of ski and non-ski activities are possible. Corporate ski trip destinations in France usually offer a choice of high-end, luxury hotels.

Huge, interconnected ski areas offering a mix of terrain are ideal destinations for corporate ski trips. The height of the ski areas allows early and late spring event options, whilst the dining is world-class. Non-ski activities in the French Alps include ice driving, tandem paragliding, scenic flights, ice diving, snowmobiling, and, naturally, tobogganing.

Once a poor relation of Austrian après-ski, France can now compete with some of the big hitters. La Folie Douce has spread across the French Alps and is often the spark that ignites the après-ski scene in numerous resorts – great sounds & spectacle.

3 reasons to plan a corporate ski trip in France

A crowd on an apres ski terrace

Legendary apres ski

La Folie Douce is the world's largest après-ski chain, with terraces located throughout the French Alps, offering live theatre, music, and champagne. There are also legendary independent bars such as Chambre Neuf in Chamonix and the Rond Point in Meribel.

Distant ski resort in the mountains

World's biggest ski areas

Large terrain usually equates to happy skiers. Les 3 Vallées gets the headlines with its 180 ski lifts, but France has many huge ski areas, including the Portes du Soleil, served by Morzine-Avoriaz, and the Val d’Isère – Tignes ski region.

Fine dining

Along with Italy, France dominates the mountain world in terms of gastronomy. Take a gourmet lunch and throw in the Aiguille du Midi and Mont Blanc on the horizon, and life feels pretty good. From simple slopeside 'street food' to gourmet lunches on the slopes of Courchevel, French dining is something else.

The best corporate ski trip resorts in the French Alps

Size matters and Val Thorens is not only the highest ski resort in the Alps, but also part of the biggest ski area in the world – Les 3 Vallées remains the daddy of linked ski areas. Activities are fantastic, après ski vibrant and the ski-in / ski-out village accesses glacier skiing and the rest of Les 3 Vallées skiing.

Within Les 3 Vallées Courchevel remains the most upmarket resort, with stunning opulence, unmatched access to the slopes and fantastic evening entertainment. Between Courchevel and Val Thorens lies Méribel, the bustling resort with chalets and pumping bars. It is also the site of La Folie Douce and has some of the best nightlife in the French Alps.

Another vast ski area is the Portes du Soleil on the Swiss border and home to the twin resorts of Morzine-Avoriaz. Buzzing with life, Morzine is one of the most charming resorts in the French Alps and offers one of the shortest airport transfers.

Many argue that the best skiing in France is found at Val d’Isère. It accesses glaciers above the resort (and Tignes), has some serious, challenging on and off-piste terrain, has a large vibrant resort and some famously good après ski.

As global brands go, few can match Chamonix-Mont-Blanc, the town is a Mecca for alpinists and snow sports devotees.

It is staggering on the eye (the Aiguille du Midi defying all logic) and offers a range of skiing the length of the valley. Megève is like an elder statesman, one of the first luxury alpine retreats in the Alps and still offering some of the best names in the Alps. La Clusaz has a fantastically short transfer from Geneva and has a charming village and some great skiing for a short trip.

There are old stalwarts like Megève where Michelin is on the menu, and the truly charming Samoëns with its interlinked ski areas. France has endless corporate ski event options, pretty much something for every group.
