Snowshoeing is a fantastic corporate ski trip activity for non-skiers. It offers the non-skiers similar experiences to the skiers and snowboarders in high-altitude, snowy terrain. There is often a chance for snowshoers to meet the skiers for a group mountain lunch.

Non-skiers don’t have to look enviously at rosy cheeks and listen to tales of exploration in the mountains – it is all waiting for them with a pair of snowshoes. Guided through the powder, forests and backcountry, snowshoe walks take clients deep into the serene nature of the high-altitude world.

Totally self-sufficient and offering a real spirit of adventure, snowshoe walks deliver a great sense of achievement and, in many cases, reach the beauty and tranquillity of the terrain beyond the bustle of the marked ski areas.

Snowshoeing on a corporate ski trip

As a non-skiing activity, snowshoe walking offers the chance to experience the thrill and emotion of the rugged and unforgiving high-altitude terrain, which captivates skiers and snowboarders. With no prior experience, snowshoe walkers can readily learn to navigate their way through undulating, snowy terrain and discover pristine wilderness.

It is often possible to coordinate lunch meetings so that snowshoe walkers and skiers/snowboarders can rendezvous at a chosen restaurant. Snowshoe walks are suited to group treks and, as such, are ideally suited to corporate ski events.

With the ever-increasing popularity of backcountry skiing and snowboarding, snowshoes can be a great way to access off-piste areas. Ski guides can take skiers and snowboarders on snowshoes to off-piste areas close to the marked ski areas.

Snowboarders who don’t have access to split boards will be particularly suited to snowshoe walks in the backcountry, whilst skiers can choose to participate with touring ski equipment.

Alternative to snowshoeing - Winter walks

Winter walks can take place on the mountain or in the valleys, rivers, or lake paths near the resort. They use prepared trails rather than the backcountry that snowshoe walks usually access.
