Snowflake

Offering superb climate throughout the year, Tenerife provides an excellent base for year-round meeting & incentive events with fantastic cuisine, luxurious retreats, great meeting & seminar venues and exhilarating activities.

Served by 2 international airports, Tenerife breaks down into 2 distinct regions with a luscious north and an arid south. The north hosts the capital Santa Cruz, whilst the south, offers endless coastal resorts.

The contrasting rugged interior and Atlantic beaches ensures that Tenerife offers a wide range of event activities from astronomy to surfing. The diverse terrain also delivers a range of local produce from seafood to organic wines, all enjoyed in fantastic event dining venues.

Winter sun is a major draw in Tenerife and the chance to host a meeting or incentive event during the gloom of a northern winter is very appealing.

TENERIFE CITIES & RESORTS

The southern end of the island is dominated by beaches and resorts. The island’s 3718m interior falls away into the ocean and the waterfront resorts reside on a coastal plateau, with views of the towering interior in one direction and the shimmering Atlantic Ocean in the other – the setting really is dramatic.

Large resort hotels dot the coastline, offering guests the full range of services and access to the water. The south of Tenerife also hosts a large convention centre for meetings & seminars.

In the north of Tenerife, the climate changes, providing a greener natural environment, in stark contrast to the arid south of the island. There is an international airport serving this region and the north of the island is home to the capital Santa Cruz, as well as some of the prettiest towns on the island.

Still dominated by its volcanic centre, the north of Tenerife has fewer beach resorts and offers a glimpse of the more traditional aspects of Tenerife. The weather remains wonderful, year-round and beaches abound, lapped by the Atlantic waters.

TENERIFE DINING

Tenerife attracts an international mix of guests, but Spanish culture and cuisine are resurgent and in the ascendency in numerous locations across the island. Heavily influenced by its island geography, Canarian cuisine boasts a great range of seafood, whilst its fertile, volcanic slopes are famed for miniature potatoes that are served salted, with sauce - simple, yet delicious.

There are a number of outstanding Michelin restaurants on Tenerife located in the south west and the north-east of the island.

As well as the excellent cuisine on offer in Tenerife, the plains to the north and south of Teide volcanic mountains provide ideal grounds for vineyards. There are a range of locally produced wines that can be enjoyed at restaurants across the island. Alternatively tours of the vineyards to include wine tasting and dining can be a fantastic experience as a corporate group activity.

TENERIFE NIGHTLIFE

From the backstreet bars of Santa Cruz to sunny terrace bars of the south coast, Tenerife has a huge range of drinking options. Swimming pools are ubiquitous in Tenerife and the chance to socialise by the water at a pool party, is something not to miss.

Roof top pools offer superb settings with DJ music drifting into the night sky and views across resorts and the ocean. Beach parties are another great option on Tenerife with venues on the shores of the Atlantic providing a superb back-drop to an event. Music and food can be tailored to suit the client.

The Hard Rock Hotel Tenerife offers the chance to host huge private parties with stages for live music or DJ’s, outdoor bars, as well as beach access. There are few locations that offer such a superb location with a private, secure music venue on hand.

The venue, located in a natural valley, is easily accessed by a private walk-way from the hotel complex, offering a remarkable location for private parties on a big scale.

TENERIFE MEETINGS & SEMINARS

Tenerife hosts a number of dedicated congress centres. These centres, both in the south, near to the South Tenerife international airport and in the north, in the capital Santa Cruz, offer space for large seminars and exhibitions. There are the full range of professional support services on offer as well as an excellent range of accommodation close to the venues.

The main congress centres are close to the coast and offer the chance to meet and socialise in the coastal resorts with post-meeting events and entertainment.

MICE hotels can be found throughout the island of Tenerife. Facilities vary but many have modern, impressive facilities with modular meeting venues. Combined with superb, ocean-front breakout areas, these MICE hotels offer dining and accommodation options. Depending on the size of the group / property, these hotels can be taken over for exclusive use.

As well as the impressive meeting facilities on the island, group dining and event activities are both excellent on Tenerife, adding additional experiences to a Tenerife meeting event.

TENERIFE - THE UNMISSABLE

The volcanic interior of Tenerife is truly spectacular with its peak located at 3718m, offering stunning views over the island, the Atlantic Ocean and the lunar-like volcanic craters.

Take an evening trip to the peaks and access either the cable car to Mount Teide or the astronomical telescopes at Las Cañadas del Teide. This region offers a remarkably different experience to the coastal areas of Tenerife.
