Whether it’s a jaw-dropping dinner location or a precipitous canyon to abseil into, Italy boasts an almost endless supply of remarkable incentive trip settings.
With incentive travel programmes, the experiences have to be on another level to make a lasting impression on staff & partners, and Italy offers those moments in abundance.
Enjoying remarkable food and wine, beneath Tuscan skies, plunging into emerald alpine lakes, sailing the Mediterranean waters or wandering through ancient history - these are diverse and unforgettable Italian experiences.
Diversity neatly sums up Italy. The sun-drenched waters of Sicily and south contrast markedly with the mesmeric horizons of the Dolomites in the far north.
In between are cities steeped in culture and islands that combine the northern mountains and the southern turquoise seas. Cuisine boasts a wonderful regional identity yet a consistency of quality.
Venues can vary in age and location but most things the Italians touch are ultra-stylish, whether it’s an ancient, crumbling terrace or a cutting-edge city dining venue.

Over 1000km north to south, Italy has a huge range of climate, geology and cultures. The north of Italy features the alpine and lake regions as well as cities such as Verona, Milan and Turin. The biggest lake in Italy, Garda is located close to the Austrian border and offers a stunning event location with history, gastronomy and activities all found around the lake.
Milan is a regional powerhouse whilst Turin is a city in the mountains. This region boasts superb incentive event attractions and is well served by regional airports.
Heading south from the mountains is the wonderful province of Tuscany with its food, wine, rolling countryside and Mediterranean beaches. Florence and Lucca are a couple of Tuscan highlights, whilst further south, Naples is famed for its food, Pompei and pizza and Rome is the capital, boasts the big-name attractions and offers the best flight connections.
Islands such as Sardinia and Sicily are resolutely independent with their own cultures and climates. Italy is one of the world’s leading tourism destinations and is well served by international air routes.
The northern lake regions start coming alive in spring, often around easter. There may still be snow on the local peaks but for incentive travel, the fresh air and spring sun can be invigorating at lake level. Swimming would be for the brave at this time of year but event activities such as sailing or canyoning would be special.
The northern cities would be alive with outdoor terraces around the same time, whilst Venice should offer long sunny days without the crowds of peak season. At the other end of the calendar, life on and around the lakes would start to tail off in November, whilst Venice can still be exquisite at this time for an incentive trip.
Heading south, the Tuscan countryside offers a magical escape in both spring and autumn, whilst Puglia, south of Bari is a delight in early spring and late autumn, with gorgeous uncrowded beaches and welcoming water. The 1000km length and elevated north ensure that Italy offers a truly diverse climate, and incentive travel locations flow with the seasons.
