The less-developed Balearic, Menorca offers a wonderfully Spanish experience, with a magical coastline, fantastic villages and cities, superb event activities and exquisite dining.

With neighbours such as Mallorca and Ibiza, it is little wonder that Menorca slips under the radar. Less familiar it is, but the Spanish flock to this island paradise for good reason.

Menorca has a jaw-dropping coastline and a rugged, authentic interior. In Ciutadella, event planners will discover an absolute gem with a historic old town, marina, and city beaches.

Menorcan incentive events incorporate fantastic activities on the water, the coast, and the island's interior, whilst cultural experiences are numerous and impressive.

Dining on Menorca is magical. Groups can experience unique, authentic Menorcan dishes in remarkable dinner venues on the water or inland.

Floating or gazing, the waters around Menorca are special. Waterfront restaurants or bar terraces can be spectacular places for incentive events.

Menorca island

Menorca measures some 30 miles from east to west coast, from Mahón, the present-day capital, to Ciutadella, the historic capital. Despite its diminutive size compared to its neighbours Ibiza and Mallorca, Menorca is reputed to have more beach coastline than the other two combined.

Menorca is a natural paradise with coastal forests, stunning bays, emerald waters, and a wonderful, authentic interior. Event attendees will be struck by the island's magic and authenticity.

In the east of Menorca is the capital of Mahón, with excellent access to the island’s airport and an attractive waterfront. Despite Mahón's status as the capital of Menorca, Ciutadella on the opposing west coast is bigger whilst being spectacular on the eye and wonderfully Spanish.

The interior of Menorca is traditional, with farms and ranches clinging to the undulating terrain. Here, Menorca's historic traditions continue to this day.

CIUTADELLA

Ciutadella offers a superb base for a meeting or incentive event. It is wonderfully atmospheric, from the historic architecture to the labyrinth of streets, frequented by predominantly Spanish visitors. There is an Old Town quarter, a waterfront with a marina, bars and restaurants and a stunning coast with fortifications with views of Mallorca.

Just 30 miles from the airport, Ciutadella is compact, has fantastic group dining venues and is the base for many exciting activities.

The west coast of Menorca hosts several holiday resorts with large hotels for event attendees. Just to the south of Ciutadella are several beach resort hotels, which offer spacious settings, great access to magical beaches, and a short distance to the entertainment of Ciutadella.

Ciutadella is also the embarkation point for the ferry to the east coast of Mallorca, offering a multi-island incentive event programme.

Activities on Menorca

Dominated by endless coastal covers, Menorca is superb for watersports activities. Sailing the coast and accessing remote beaches is a magical experience. Snorkelling and diving are ideally suited to the sheltered, turquoise bays, while wind and kite surfing are popular on the open water.

Away from the coast, the interior offers some fantastic activity options, including wine and olive/farm tours. Adventure trekking explores the interior of Menorca while there are some spectacular walking trails on the southern coast.

There are many activities to enjoy in the cities. Ciutadella has city beaches, a marina for boat excursions, and a great range of shopping and entertainment. The city also offers food and walking tours to discover the island's history and culture. Cultural opportunities are plenty in Ciutadella.

Menorca dining

Menorca is a popular island destination for the Spanish and their culinary preferences ensure that Menorca has retained a wonderfully Spanish menu across many of its restaurants.

Expect seafood, paellas, tapas, and a bit of fusion cuisine on the Menorcan menus.

Besides the delightful Spanish tastes, Menorca has a range of diverse and spectacular dining venues ideally suited to group events. Dine amongst the bustling streets of Ciutadella or at the marina waterfront.

Feast on traditional Menorcan dishes or try the famous fish soup in the stunning setting of Fornells.

Menorca nightlife

Neither an Ibiza nor a Mallorca, Menorca has escaped the onset of party resorts. Instead, nightlife in Menorca is more about beautiful settings, with fine wines and long drinks at sunset. Events can be hosted on terraces overlooking magical coves or on beach bars lapped by crystal-clear waters.

Ciutadella would again be the pick of event destinations for nightlife in Menorca. It has a fantastic Spanish atmosphere, with bars in the Old Town and on the marina waterfront, while retaining a refined, Spanish feel - the city hums with life in the evenings.
