Après ski from the top table, world famous skiing, sumptuous hotels, and a medieval centre that is the stuff of fairy tales. Kitzbühel is as good as it gets for corporate ski events.

Snowflake

Whether on or off the snow, Kitzbühel is tough to beat for corporate ski trips. One of the biggest brands of world skiing and host to the most celebrated ski race globally, Kitzbühel has a mighty name.

On the snow the ski area is large, whilst the town is dominated by the Hahnenkamm peak and its race piste, the Kitzbühel Hahnenkamm Streif, which plummets into the resort’s southern edge.

The town of Kitzbühel really cannot have any peers when it comes to style and atmosphere – the pedestrianised centre is truly magical with intimate streets, stylish bars and designer shops.

The bars are legendary and après ski in Kitzbühel is some of the best in the world. Activities around the resort are excellent, dining first-class and the resort transfers short and straight.

KITZBÜHEL SKIING

Kitzbühel is probably the most recognisable name in world skiing. Famed for its annual Kitzbühel race weekend, the resort is the benchmark for extreme downhill ski racing, hosting the most feared and revered ski race in the world. The Hahnenkamm Streif race course is open to the public outside of race preparation periods and many flock to its vertiginous terrain to test themselves against their heroes.

Aside from this fearsome ski route, the skiing in Kitzbühel stretches continuously from Pass Thurm in the south, to the neighbouring Kirchberg, just north west of Kitzbühel, offering fantastic intermediate skiing. Many upgraded lifts serve the area, whilst the on-mountain restaurants are stylish and enviably located.

To the north of Kitzbühel is the Kitzbüheler Horn ski area – a distinct and separate ski area, with big terrain park and southern-facing slopes. For the mile-hungry skiers and snowboarders, there is the chance to cross into Westendorf and then ski beyond into the Ski Welt ski region that includes Söll, Brixen, Ellmau and other resorts. The ski resources in the region are massive.

The majority of the region is ideal for intermediates but there is plenty of steep skiing below the Hahnenkamm and the Hohe Salve, whilst the off-piste on the north facing slopes above Kitzbühel can be sensational.

MORE THINGS TO DO ON A KITZBÜHEL EVENT

Kitzbühel is known the world-over for its skiing and snowboarding, yet there is so much more to do in Kitzbühel. Other ways to transit the snow in Kitzbühel include snowshoeing or winter walking, fantastic ways to experience the solitude and nature of the mountain and offering the chance for inclusive team lunches.

Tobogganing is another option whilst for those who can't get enough of the skiing then there is the option of night skiing or else heli-skiing in the Italian Dolomites with flights leaving Kitzbühel. Scenic flights are a possibility for those wanting a helicopter flight without the skiing. Tandem paragliding offers views and serious thrills.

Kitzbühel is also mighty impressive off the snow and the après ski is some of the finest on the Alps. One of the après ski big-hitters, Kitzbühel comes alive on the mountain terraces and base-station umbrella bars from mid-afternoon onwards. Christmas markets are a great addition to the après ski with enchanting atmosphere.

For some, Kitzbühel is all about slowing down and enjoying the wonderful alpine atmosphere. Curling is a classic sport / social event in Kitzbühel and is ideal for inclusive, competitive fun in wonderful settings. And there is no better way to unwind than in an Alpine spa - quality facilities in extraordinary surroundings.

KITZBÜHEL SKI RESORT

Corporate events are essentially about taking individuals out of their everyday and briefly into a new world. There a few locations anywhere on earth that can so readily take clients into an Alpine world of great style, quality and scenery as Kitzbühel. The town centre is steeped in history and atmosphere with ancient streets hosting boutique shops and bar terraces.

Quality runs through every crevice of the destination, although Kitzbühel is actually a town where a lot of locals live and work, and the town has thankfully avoided surrendering its authenticity in the pursuit of visitor attractions.

As well as eating and drinking at the very top table in Kitzbühel, the resort has a fantastic range of activities to entertain clients on corporate ski events. Air sports such as ballooning or paragliding, motor sports such as skidoo and ice driving and team events are all possible for those not wanting to take some time in a glorious Alpine spas of Kitzbühel.

As well as being fantastically equipped with health facilities, shops, outstanding hotels and leisure facilities, Kitzbühel is also very well connected to both Munich and Innsbruck airports, by road and rail with transfers from Innsbruck airport taking just over an hour.

KITZBÜHEL APRÈS SKI

One of the Daddies of world après ski – Kitzbühel unashamedly offers potent après ski from its slopes, to the heart of the town. There are many on-mountain huts to tempt the masses, but the real action starts at the Mocking das Wirtshaus (formerly the Streifalm), which depending on perspective, offers an either sublime or manifestly dangerous location at the foot of the slopes on the southern edge of the resort.

Few escape the pull of the Mocking das Wirtshaus and the place is often thronged with après skiers from mid-afternoon. During the Hahnenkamm race weekend, this area becomes the après ski HQ of the Alps, with hotel terraces and pop-up bars effectively creating an après ski village in its own right.

Later in the evening, the Londoner is an iconic pub with fantastic atmosphere, filled with hordes of partying guests, swilling the brews, and dancing to live music. There are endless other bars for visitors and locals throughout the centre of Kitzbühel. As well as those looking to get their ski boots moving to Europop, there is a more sophisticated après ski offering in Kitzbühel including exclusive bars and night clubs.

For those looking to patch up the hole burnt in their pockets by a few hours of après ski in Kitzbühel, there is Kitzbühel Casino on hand, located in the heart of the pedestrianised centre of Kitzbühel.

KITZBÜHEL DINING

Possibly the most famous ski resort in the world, Kitzbühel boasts celebrity guests & residents. Corporate ski event clients can join the A-listers when dining in the fine restaurants of the stunningly atmospheric pedestrianised centre of Kitzbühel.

Fine dining in Kitzbühel includes seafood, French and Italian restaurants, to complement the best of the Tirolean options. There are a number of central and slope-side restaurants to host large groups, including those at the top and bottom of the main Hahnenkamm gondola.

The mountains around Kitzbühel offer wonedrful settings, as well as some truly spectacular experiences. Rosi`s Sonnbergstuben counts Arnie S as a regular, serves fantastic regional staples and comes alive when Rosi, the famous host takes to the floor.

Gasthaus Einsiedelei is an ideal setting for large group events. Accessed by ski skidoo in the winter, the Einsiedelei offers a lively night in the forests high above Kitzbühel. Cosy rooms, terraces overlooking the valley and live music create a memorable experience.
