Activities are a key part of any incentive event and can offer a superb contrast & complement to a meeting event. Along with superb hotels, dining and venues, activities can create last memories during a corporate event.

Successful events are all about taking clients out of the everyday lives. Those corporate events which enter company folklore are built around fine dining, exquisite hotels, and magical locations.

As well as being in unfamiliar locations and venues, doing something unique can really enhance the event experience. Activities can be the highlight of any meeting or incentive event.

CORPORATE SKI EVENT ACTIVITIES

Fantastic corporate ski event activities for skiers and non-skiers including paragliding, snowshoe walking, zip lines, music festivals, alpine spas, curling and of course, après ski.

Snowflake

After the ski lifts have stopped there are a huge range of activities on offer in many of the bigger ski resorts. Après ski and fine dining are a couple of the most obvious evening group activities but there are many fantastic group event activities that can be fitted onto an event programme such as ice driving, Olympic bobsled or paragliding.

Music concerts in the mountains can be a great option for events, with inclusivity for groups amd the chance to include drinking and dining.

Few can doubt the majesty of the mountains and the contrast to most people’s everyday lives. But not everyone wants to strap themselves to a plank or 2 and head down a slope. For non-skiers, there are a number of winter event activities that take them into the mountains, to experience the snow and the terrain enjoyed by the skiers and snowboarders..

Snowshoe and winter walks, tobogganing or snow-mobiles are great options for non-skiers, and don't usually require any specific prior experience.

SUSTAINABLE CORPORATE SKI EVENT ACTIVITIES

Snowflake

There are a myriad of factors affecting the impact of an activity on the planet including transport to an activity, equipment used / installed and the use of fossil fuels to power an activity. We have selected a few fantastic activities that represent the most sustainable options for corporate ski trip activities. In each case the client will discover the beauty and satisfaction of them being the engine behind the activity.

In most cases activity suppliers are rooted to a destination offering sustainable economic benefits to the region, whilst activities are often part of the local culture & lifestyle.

With a toboggan on a rope, clients head off into the silent, snowy forests, often walking to a prominent point. The routes can be magical, with vantage points, winter animals and pristine air - the way down is also a lot of fun. A more technical gravity sport is ski touring where specialist equipment allows the client to scale mountains under their own steam, accessing terrain outside of the marked ski sector.

Another theme on this is snowshoe walking, where the client walks / floats on the snow, or a simpler option would be winter walking / hiking. Ice climbing, whilst technical challenging is an absolute highlight activity.

MEETING & INCENTIVE EVENT ACTIVITIES

Superb meeting & incentive activities on land and sea including wine tours, sailing regattas, canyoning, coasteering, white water rafting, bike & food tours, and surfing.

Snowflake

Activities are an indispensable component of most corporate incentive events. Unlike winter events where the skiing and snowboarding form the majority of the event, non-ski, incentive events often require substantial activity components.

Meetings & seminar events often have less available time for activties than incentive events, but activities are always a great feature of any event, uniting the team and offering unique experiences.

Based on the location of the meeting or incentive event, there are a number of fantastic activities which can be added to an event programme, whether a city, mountain or coast-based event. Some destinations offer the full range of mountain, city and coastal activities.

There are adrenalin sports such as rafting or canyoning, more leisurely pursuits such as SUP, sailing and golf, whilst wine tasting, day spas or museum tours offer a relaxing alternative range of activities.

SUSTAINABLE MEETING & INCENTIVE EVENT ACTIVITIES

Snowflake

Meeting & incentive events lend themselves to sustainable activities. Many of our event activities are human-powered and have little impact on the environment, below are a few examples. Walking and cycling tours are obvious examples which can also include cultural elements to enhance the experience.

Sustainable meeting & incentive event activities need not be low octane though. Coasteering is purely human powered has little impact on the wave-battered coastal geology and can be truly exhilarating. Canyoning is another way to explore the fascinating environment where water erodes rock, again with great sustainability credentials.
