WINTER EVENT ACTIVITIES
After the ski lifts have stopped there are a huge range of activities on offer in many of the bigger ski resorts. Après ski and fine dining are a couple of the most obvious evening group activities but there are many fantastic group event activities that can be fitted onto an event programme such as ice driving, Olympic bobsled or paragliding. Music concerts in the mountains can be a great option for groups.
Few can doubt the majesty of the mountains and the contrast to most people’s everyday lives. But not everyone wants to strap themselves to a plank or 2 and head down a slope. For non-skiers, there are a number of winter event activities that take them into the mountains, to experience the snow. Snow shoe and winter walks, tobogganing or snow-mobiles are great options for non-skiers.

SUSTAINABLE WINTER EVENT ACTIVITIES
There are a myriad of factors affecting the impact of an activity on the planet including transport to an activity, equipment used / installed and the use of fossil fuels to power an activity. We have selected a few fantastic activities that represent the most sustainable options for corporate ski trip activities. In each case the client will discover the beauty and satisfaction of them being the engine behind the activity.
With a toboggan on a rope, clients head off into the silent, snowy forests, often walking to a prominent point. The routes can be magical, with vantage points, winter animals and pristine air - the way down is also a lot of fun. A more technical gravity sport is ski touring where specialist equipment allows the client to scale mountains under their own steam. Another theme on this is snowshoe walking, where the client walks / floats on the snow.

Snowshoe walking
Under your own power, venture off into the forests and slopes of the back-country.

SUMMER INCENTIVE ACTIVITIES
Activities are an indispensable component of most summer incentive events. Unlike winter events where the skiing and snowboarding form the majority of the event, summer events often require substantial activity components. Summer meetings & seminar events require less than summer incentives, but activities are always a great feature of any event.
Based on the location of the summer event, there are a number of fantastic activities which can be added to an events programme. There are adrenalin sports such as rafting or canyoning, more leisurely pursuits such as SUP, sailing and golf, whilst wine tasting, day spas or museum tours offer a relaxing alternative range of activities.

Sailing
Lead by a professional skipper, group sailing regattas on Alpine lakes or coastal waters are great team building activities.

Blokarting
Blokarting is an innovative sport from New Zealand where clients trim the sail and hurtle along the water’s edge.

canyoning
High adrenalin with waterfall slides, leaps into deep pools and cliff abseils in the descent of alpine canyons.

Stand up paddling
Stand up paddle boards or sea kayaks are a fantastic way to explore the coves and emerald water of the ocean.

coasteering
Climb & leap into inaccessible coves, lapping with emerald water – coasteering is tough to beat for summer incentives.

white water rafting
Take to a raging river with colleagues in a white-water descent. Various river grades are available for different abilities.

Kayaking
Kayak across the sea or inland waters in pairs, exploring the coast and reaching remote beaches and sand bars.

summer zip line
Take a zip line across the open ocean or inland rivers for a thrill of speed & height and the occasional swim.

adventure trekking
Scrambling rock faces, abseiling cliffs and navigating coastal rocks – adventure trekking is walking on steroids.

wine tasting
Explore the world of wine making and get to sample the best bottles, in wonderful rural vineyard settings.

segway tours
After a short introduction, take part in a guided Segway tour through the city streets and pedestrian areas.

culture
Take in some local culture on a museum and gallery tour. A great way to discover the city and its artistic inhabitants.
SUSTAINABLE SUMMER EVENT ACTIVITIES
Summer events lend themselves to sustainable activities. Many of our event activities are human-powered and have little impact on the environment, below are a few examples. Walking and cycling tours are obvious examples which can also include cultural elements to enhance the experience.
Sustainable summer event activities need not be low octane though. Coasteering is purely human powered has little impact on the wave-battered coastal geology and can be truly exhilarating. Canyoning is another way to explore the fascinating environment where water erodes rock, again with great sustainability credentials.
