Après ski is a fixture of Lech Zürs afternoons. It is far removed from the wilds of St Anton, yet Lech Zürs skier and snowboarders enjoy the trappings of the good life throughout the winter.
Oberlech, with its sunny terraces, is one of life’s great experiences. The Balmalp offers champagne heaven, high in the ski area. Corporate ski groups can enjoy riverside terraces or a central yurt in Lech village.
Occupying some of the most coveted real estate in the Alps, the Krone après ski terrace is riverside and just steps from the historic Lech church.
In winter afternoons, the terrace is packed with guests enjoying the good life in the shape of champagne and cocktails.
There are heat lamps and chilled music to add to the atmosphere of this very sophisticated après ski terrace.
Located at an altitude of 2000m, the Kriegeralpe is reached via ski piste from the Balmalp. The Kriegeralpe is a traditional hut with a sunny terrace directly on the ski piste.
The Kriegeralpe offers a stopping-off point from a Balmalp lunch and the onward journey to the terraces of Oberlech.
Located on the riverside promenade of central Lech, The Yurt is a striking structure amongst the historic buildings of Lech am Arlberg. The authentic yurt was brought in from Kyrgyzstan and now offers a stunning and different après ski experience in this historic village.
The Yurt can be reserved for private functions and can host around 30-40 people, inside and out. There is an informal, stylish vibe to the Yurt.
The wine and long drinks menu is extensive, and specific wines can be ordered for corporate events.
Located on the main street of Lech am Arlberg, the Tannbergerhof terrace is the main focus for central Lech apres ski. Colourful umbrellas and heat lamps guard against the cold, and the terrace is a great place to people-watch.
With the Yurt across the river and the Krone apres ski terrace just across the road, the Tannbergerhof terrace forms a (sophisticated) cluster of apres ski action in the heart of Lech village.
Oberlech is probably the most exclusive part of the Austrian Alps, and in the afternoon, there are several large hotel terraces to enjoy.
After feasting on the lunch menu, the beats flood the hotel terraces as people sip on fine wines and recline on sofas and deckchairs on the snow.
The Oberlech cable car is available to transport non-skiers and those who have enjoyed the highlife a little too much back down to Lech.
Around 100m above the resort of Lech am Arlberg, the Rud-Alpe is bang in the middle of the Lech ski area. The hut features a large terrace that wraps around the building.
The Rud-Alpe is the ideal place to park the skis and enjoy an afternoon on a sunny terrace, with Lech village just a short walk or ski away.
Located in the centre of the Zürs am Arlberg ski area, the Tritt-Alpe offers the best on-slope apres ski in Zürs.
Music beats accompany lunch, and then the apres ski party begins on the terrace and on the deck chairs.
A blue piste takes revellers back to the resort.
